Counseling groups: mentoring program
LWC's group counseling program began in 2000. The mentoring group builds on eight years of continuous program operation. It offers a unique opportunity to be mentored in job and career change by working with LWC's founder, Tom Finnegan (who trained in 1993 with Richard Bolles, the author of What Color Is Your Parachute?).
The mentoring program (founder's group) offers you:
- A pioneering, fresh-thinking alternative to reliance on résumés and publicly announced job postings
- Relaxed, expansive, thoughtful exploration and clarification of values, skills, and enthusiasms to define "Plan A" work (right livelihood, calling)
- A focus on self-definition, self-assurance as a valuable resource person, and a mentor's perspective on purposeful work and work-life balance
- The long view of a life's work, though with quiet influence on short-term job finding needs
- Small group size (six maximum)
- Cost is $240 per month ($30 per hour)
If you desire a short and concentrated process, consider a 10-week group or individual counseling sessions
